Knitting Project: Arm Knit Scarves

20161215_160223

I have made quite a few scarves now using the arm knitting technique and I love them! In fact, I keep getting asked to make one for someone and I think the only person who now doesn’t have one is me!

I don’t have a specific pattern, but these are so easy you don’t really need one. I simply use four balls of XXL chunky wool . I then cast on 12 to 15 stitches using the long tail cast on method and knit until I have just enough wool left to cast off and weave in the ends.

I lay the scarf flat with the knit side facing inwards, line up the edges and use a mattress stitch to bind them together. And Voila! One extra large, super cosy scarf that took less than 45 minutes to make. Talk about instant gratification.
