Hi all. Another week has come to an end. This one has left me sore, tired and really fulfilled. This has been the week of creative outlet and indulging in my hobbies.

It’s been a rare week where I have had all my ducks in a row and have been able to fit in so much stuff! It’s been amazing.

I have always been a creative person, but I have found that the older I get the more I crave doing things for the sheer pleasure of it and not because I have to. This week I managed to workout consistently, knit a little, do a smidge of painting, read a book, garden, whip up some more facial oil and cleansing grains and experiment with my ferments. What a treat!

To be fair, some of these indulgences were more successful than others. For example, I had the brilliant idea of doing some knitting while watching Willow play outside. She was not impressed that my attention was not 100% on her and bugged me until I out the knitting away after only one row. Sometimes she’s content to play on her own and sometimes she needs a partner is crime. And she’s so cute why would I say no?

Mostly I have been getting up earlier up earlier (it’s amazing what you can achieve when you get your but out of bed before 6.30am!) and making good use of the short amount of time I have between finishing work and fetching Willow from school. I have a new batch of sauerkraut and my first attempt at pickles on the counter fermenting away, A beautiful artwork for Willow’s room almost finished, my garden is looking stunning and my butt is getting toned. I really feel like I’m winning at life.

This weekend I plan to finish up that painting and work on my knitting. Nap time is looking mighty full. This type of productivity doesn’t happen often and I plan to make hay while the sun shines!

I hope you all have a great weekend. Chat soon!

Revlon's Ultra HD Lipstick in Rose

Revlon’s Ultra HD Lipstick in Rose

Product of the week: I rediscovered the Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Rose while I was doing a quick clear out on my lip products. I had forgotten how much I love this lipstick. Its a rich, creamy formula which is really pigmented. It is also such a good colour for me and it perfect for every day. I have been wearing it nonstop!

Purchase of the week: Technically, I didn’t buy these gorgeous Opalit earrings, A did. We spotted them in this really cute crystal shop at Montecasino while we were there for Date Night. They are so simple, yet striking and Opal is my birthstone. The photos don’t do them justice. They have a beautiful translucence and ethereal glow to them.

Best moment: A and I had a truly lovely evening on Tuesday. We went to Montecasino on Date Night and ate seafood and had gelato for dessert. While eating our ice cream we wondered around the complex, did a tiny bit of shopping and just had a really good chat. It was the best.

Looking forward to: My birthday next week! I’m turning 30 and we’re heading out to Malalane for a weekend of family, friends and food. It’s going to be very low-key, just the way I like it. Also, there’ll be cake! Yes!
